What is SATOP?

Take advantage of a cooperative program sponsored by Florida’s Technological Research and Development Authority (TRDA), NASA and key space industry contractors and organizations. SATOP helps small businesses apply technology developed for space exploration to everyday business. Since the program’s inception, more than 1050 resolutions have been provided infusing more than $70 million in to the state economy.

SATOP matches small business owners with space industry technical teams. These teams analyze the technical challenges and then tap into the universe of technology that has been created for space exploration; however, your problem doesn’t have to be high-tech for this to work. Plus, the cost for such a partnership is a true bargain - IT’S FREE.

Working with SATOP

  1. Contact Hendry County Economic Development Council (HCEDC)
  2. Ask for a Request for Technical Assistance (RTA) Form
  3. Submit the form to HCEDC, which will process it with TRDA

    Note: You can also get this form electronically at www.trda.org

  4. An alliance project team will be assigned to your RTA
  5. The team will work with you for a speedy solution. Most solutions are provided within 90 days.
